Archetypes are the source of soul images. Soul life itself is the activity of those images. We are in the psyche, Anima Mundi, cosmic soul, which mates with the Cosmic Animus, living spirit. The presence of psychic body reveals who we are. Soul is a medium with internal energy. Psyche is all conscious and unconscious psychic processes.

The soul is the 'friend' or the heart of the beloved that gives us generosity, moderateness, and eloquence -- the opening heart, experiential understanding. The emotion we have when we are open and motivated to explore the unknown is a positive emotion -- openness to ideas and creativity, the aspiration for a better life.
